Chiang Dao Nest

This was a complete breakaway from the ’sterile’ nature of luxury hotels we were reviewing at the time. Chiang Dao Nest was recommended to us by some friends who had stayed there previously.

The bungalows were spread out over a large area, all custom built from bamboo and timber with cement foundations. Here it was more about capturing the natural setting, the way nature included itself in your daily routine. No lighting issues except those that nature sent my way.

The attention to detail in the gardens, to the gourmet food served every evening was testament to the owners longterm vision of exactly how she wanted to treat guests. Relaxed and informal, but with all the services you could want.
