Chakrabongse Villas

Set in the heart of Bangkok, opposite the Wat Pho Temples, these four bungalows are laid out in the grounds of the Royal Thai Princesses house.

Set away from the main house, the bungalows are literally on the edge of the main river that flows through Bangkok. Hence two of its main attractions are the views across the river to three different religious temples and its own longtail boat tours along the waterways.

The bungalows are entirely constructed from wood and the attention to authentic Thai detail is evident everywhere. Similarly, the garden landscaping has been carefully laid out and filled with a wide variety of local flora.

Again, my speedlights were in the thick of things for the interiors and detail shots. Outside in the garden it was mostly natural light.
